Sustainable Energy Expo

Tamar NRM is holding a Sustainable Energy Expo this Saturday 16th September at the Albert Hall, Launceston. Visit Todd and Anton at the SLT stall and talk to local businesses about ways to save energy and cut costs on your energy bills. SLT will also be presenting talks about climate change, and what households and businesses can do to be more energy efficient. Hope to see you there!

Sustainable House Day

Also coming up this weekend on Sunday 17th September is Sustainable House Day. Hundreds of sustainable homes around Australia will open their doors to share tips on how to build and renovate sustainably. Register here to attend Sustainable House Day and to receive information in advance of the day.

We invite all members to our 2017 Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 26th September at 7pm at Sustainable Living Tasmania, 1st floor 71 Murray Street Hobart. In addition to the formal business of the AGM Margaret Steadman (Tasmania's Senior Australian of the Year, and Sustainable Living Tasmania Board member, life member, and former Executive Officer) will share her reflections. Light refreshments will be served. Please RSVP for catering purposes.

Sustainable Living Tasmania has teamed up with all southern councils to deliver the Home Energy Bulk Buy on quality energy products at great prices. To join the bulk buy you need to be in any of these southern Tasmanian local government areas. REGISTER NOW - and we'll let you know when the Home Energy Bulk Buy is open. Buying in bulk gives you a cheaper price and will be available on heat pumps, hot water systems, insulation, LED lighting, solar panels and battery storage for a limited period only.

We've recently completed a series of workshops aimed at building the capacity of front-line community service workers in Tasmania to assist their clients in staying warm and managing their energy bills. Check out the video we made of the workshop as it contains lots of useful information.
