Hot water, the simple facts
We use it, we enjoy it and we have to pay for heating it. So why not have the most energy efficient hot water heat pump currently available on the market? As such, the Sanden system
saves you up to 78% of your hot water needs and energy costs. When you buy a Sanden system, you receive the highest amount of Small-scale Technology Certificates (STC’s) of any currently available hot water heat pump system. These STC’s can be used to discount your purchase price.

Where do our emissions come from?
Did you know 21% of Tasmania's greenhouse gas emissions come from the burps and farts of cows and sheep? (The fancy term for this is 'enteric fermentation'). Have a play with our interactive visualisation
to see where Tasmania's greenhouse gas emissions come from.
Thanks to everyone who has joined in on our campaign to encourage takeaway retailers to switch to compostable packaging. Together we can spend our pocket money wisely to support businesses that make improvements that we care about. Chennai Bismi Kitchen
on Liverpool St were our first switcher. They serve delicious South Indian Cuisine and Indian Street Food from breakfast to dinner and are well worth a visit. Our newest switcher is the Macquarie Grocer
on the corner of Darcy St. They too have begun the move to compostable packaging as part of our Carrotmob Hobart campaign. Please encourage and reward both businesses by purchasing their yummy food... and don't forget to BYO packaging and mention Carrotmob, so they know their effort was *appreciated*.
2015/16 financial year wrap up
The 2015/2016 financial year was another highly productive one for Sustainable Living Tasmania. Our annual report
details the activities and projects we ran during the year. The AGM was held on 27 September and several new board members were elected. We are fortunate to have a highly skilled and supportive board of management
contributing to SLT's vision to see all Tasmanians lead happy, healthy and sustainable lives. Thank you to the SLT board and all our supporters (members, donors, volunteers) for your ongoing contributions to this vision.
