Education for Sustainability Tasmania

Thanks to the hard work of educators across the State, Tasmania is now recognised by the United Nations as a Regional Centre of Expertise in Education for Sustainable Development.

Education for Sustainability Tasmania is a new network of organisations that has been established to promote, support and build on the innovation and success being achieved. We are very proud of our new collaborative network and encourage you to help us celebrate its launch.

The network includes some of the finest advocates for sustainability in Tasmania representing education institutions, business and community organisations. Our common belief is that education is a central tool for fostering the knowledge, skills, values and world views necessary for people to act in ways that contribute to more sustainable patterns of living.
