Event space hire

We've created a great venue for events, right in the heart of Hobart at Level 1, 71 Murray St. The space is very flexible with facilities for live web-casts, web-conferences, tele-conferences, film nights, workshops, meetings, social functions, and more.

We completely renovated the space in 2013 and demonstrates a range of best practice sustainable building techniques and finishes.  The natural light, polished floorboards, bookcases and Tasmanian artwork create a relaxed and inviting environment for your guests.  The open plan room can be organised to suit events from small board meetings to film screenings and public lectures.  There are a variety of hire and layout options to suit your needs and we can also partner with you to deliver an event.

  • Toilets Female and male toilets.
  • Access – Please note that access is via stairs with no disability access. After-hours access can be arranged.
  • Kitchenette – Kettle; urn; refrigerator; microwave; stove; grill; oven; toasted sandwich maker. The kitchen is stocked with basic cooking equipment including pots; frypans; grater; chopping boards; cutlery & crockery (for up to 35); and serving implements.

Capacity

  • Meeting – 12 people comfortably (more at a squeeze).
  • Workshop – 25 people comfortably.
  • Lecture / screening – Up to 50 people.
